Manta 40 Catamaran For Sale $198,000US

After nine years onboard this wonderful home, it’s time for us to move on to other adventures. Escape Velocity is lying at Rebak Island Marina, Langkawi, Malaysia.

Escape Velocity is a 1998 Manta 40 catamaran built in the USA by Endeavour. She is well-maintained and fully-equipped for extended off-grid world cruising and comfortable living at anchor. She is a sloop rigged, auxiliary powered fiberglass sailing catamaran.

Mantas are recognized as one of the best designed cruising catamarans for a couple or family. The living areas are spacious and airy, and there is abundant storage for long term cruising. Recent trade articles still sing the praises of these great boats, despite that they are no longer in production.

One of the many special features of Mantas — and the one that led us to seek our own Manta — is the active and loyal owner’s group where any and all questions are answered and ideas shared. Members of the group include the yacht designer and production line workers in addition to owners with deep technical knowledge of the systems and features that make Mantas unique.
